First Things First (assess & treat for the following)

  • Definition: mean pulmonary artery pressure >25 mmHg, systolic pulmonary pressure >35, diastolic pulmonary pressure >15
  • Determine cause. See below.
  • Avoid:
    • Hypoxemia
    • Hypercarbia
    • Acidosis
    • Hypothermia
