SSRI Overdose

First Things First (assess & treat for the following)

  • ABCs
  • Airway: control secretions, mental status. If airway compromised, intubate.
  • Breathing: if hypoxic, O2 supplementation
  • Circulation: weak pulses, hypotension. Treat with fluids and/or pressors.
  • Seizures: treat with benzodiazepines.
