Abdominal ProceduresPelvic surgery can be performed under regional anesthesia. Duration of the procedure, intraoperative blood loss, fluid shifts, and Trendelenburg positioning might require control of the airway and general anesthesia. Laparoscopic procedures are performed under general anesthesia. Rescue IV and radial artery access may be limited by draping and position of the patient.
