Lithotripsy
The treatment of kidney stones ranges from open surgical procedures, to less invasive approaches including cystoscopy and ureteroscopy with mechanical stone extraction and/or laser lithotripsy being two of the most common techniques.
- Anesthetic options include regional, MAC, and GA (LMA vs. ETT) and depend on both patient and surgical factors.
