Non-Operating Room Anesthesia - Anesthesia for Diagnostic Radiology
CT scans and MRI are usually performed without GA. Children and uncooperative adults (eg, patients with head injury, claustrophobia, and chronic back pain) may require sedation or GA to minimize motion artifacts.
