Vascular Access - Overview
Vascular access is necessary and tailored to the needs of the patient, procedure, and clinical setting. This chapter focuses on ultrasound guidance for peripheral intravenous (IV) and arterial access in short axis. Procedures for central venous and peripheral arterial access are discussed in Chapter 15—Monitoring.
