Common Intravenous Antibiotics
The antibiotics listed in this appendix are those usually given in the perioperative period. Doses marked by (+) are those that are recommended by the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Infectious Disease service for standard surgical procedure antibiotic prophylaxis. These should be administered within 1 hour of incision unless indicated.
