Anesthesia for Cardiac Surgery - Postoperative Care
Warming
Most cardiac surgical patients will be hypothermic upon arrival to the ICU, and their initial course is notable for warming and vasodilation. Adequate sedation will prevent unwanted waking and shivering during this period.
