Hypercalcemia in the ICU
First Things First (assess & treat for the following)
- Begin hydration w/ normal saline; almost every pt is dehydrated.
- 1-2 L bolus, then 150-200 mL/hr if tolerated
- 1-2 L bolus, then 150-200 mL/hr if tolerated
