Evaluation of Jaundice and Abnormal LFTs
First Things First (assess for & treat the following):
- Does pt manifest signs of fulminant hepatic failure?
- Encephalopathy
- Coagulopathy
- Acute renal failure
- Cerebral edema
- Does pt manifest signs of ascending cholangitis?
- RUQ abdominal pain
- Jaundice
- Fever
- Delirium
- Shock
