Inhaled Solvents
First Things First (assess & treat for the following)
- Inhaled solvents may include:     
- Aliphatic hydrocarbons (petroleum distillates)
 - Halogenated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride)
 - Aromatic hydrocarbons (toluene)
 - Terpenes (pine oil)
 
 - ABCs of resuscitation
 - Aspiration
 - Acidosis
 - Sudden sniffing death secondary to dysrhythmias
 - Laryngeal spasm or bronchospasm
 - Seizures
 - Do not induce emesis.
