Pharmacokinetic Interactions
First Things First (assess & treat for the following)
- Critical care includes intensive pharmacologic mgt.
- It is not unusual for pts to be taking >10 meds simultaneously while in the ICU.
- Clinicians must take into account pt allergies & the potential for drug-drug interactions when selecting a treatment plan.
