Epinephrine
Indications
- Heart failure.
- Cardiac arrest (ACLS).
- Bronchospasm, anaphylaxis.
- Airway edema.
Dosage:
- Heart failure, 1 to 12 μg/min titrated to effect.
- ACLS, 0.1 to 1 mg IV or 1 mg intratracheal q5min prn. Pediatric, 0.01 mg/kg IV up to 0.5 mg. 0.01 mg/kg SC q15min × 2 doses up to 1 mg/dose.
- Bronchospasm, anaphylaxis, 0.1 to 0.5 mg SC, 0.1 to 0.25 mg IV, or 0.25 to 1.5 μg/min IV infusion.
- Airway edema, nebulized: 0.5 mL of 2.25% solution in 2.5 to 3.5 mL of NS q1-4h prn.
